Week 5 DraftKings Clearance Rack
How’s the old adage go, “You get what you pay for”? Yes, this may hold true in most cases, but there’s a ton of things you can get for the low: tacos, 40 oz. beers… multi-policy insurance discounts from Flo. In other words, you can find value, you just have to, well, find it. Luckily, I’ve done the work for you (you’re welcome), and identified the values being offered this week on DraftKings.
Keep in mind, what I’m talking about here are guys who, for whatever reason, have a salary which is lower than the value at which they should perform. Not sleepers, not long shots, but guys who are undervalued. While I don’t advocate using all of these guys, and I’m not suggesting that they’ll put up numbers comparable to the high dollar guys, you can use them to fill holes in your DK roster, and afford to go big elsewhere…
Eli Manning – NYG @ GB ($6,000)
Normally, this would be an excessive spout; chronicling my love for Brian Hoyer. Although, I’m still the President of the B.H. Fan Club, I don’t like the injuries, and the amount of love he’s getting from the media. So, it’s Eli this week, and here’s why… No love lost though, B.H.
Terrance West – BAL vs. WAS ($4,800)
West is the lead back, coming off a 113 yard 1 TD performance, and facing a Redskins defense which has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing RBs. Good enough for me.
Tajae Sharpe – TEN @ MIA ($4,400)
The entire Titans passing game has struggled – as Mariota has not looked good to start the season – however, Sharpe has yet to see less than 7 targets in a game. With the Titans run game requiring extra attention, and a healthy Delanie Walker, Sharpe should see some single coverage and faces a Miami defense that has struggled to contain #1 WRs (A.J. Green: 10 rec., 173 yards, 1 TD; Terrelle Pryor: 8 rec., 144 yards; Doug Baldwin: 9 rec., 92 yards, 1 TD).
C.J. Uzomah – CIN @ DAL ($2,500)
He hasn’t found the end zone yet, but he’s averaging 3 catches for 36 yards. Nothing to write home about, but he’s facing a Cowboys defense which has allowed an average of 81.5 yards per game, and the 3rd most fantasy points, to opposing tight ends. For the minimum salary, you could do much worse.
Tennesse Titans – ($2,400)
Although, I don’t believe the Titans defense is any good, they’re a decent streaming option this week at Miami. Averaging 21 points per game allowed, 1 takeaway, and 1.5 sacks per game, they’ll face a Dolphins offense averaging only 18 points per game, with 9 giveaways, and a struggling offensive line. Tannehill is constantly under pressure, and has been sacked 11 times (he was even sacked in his NFL Play 60 commercial)… Miami is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing DSTs.
Best of luck this week in your season long, and daily leagues. And, as always, be sure to check me out on Instagram: maximizeyourodds, Facebook: maximizeyourodds, and Twitter: maxingyourodds or shoot me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org for free plays, and/or fantasy advice.
