Flacco-1024x683 Week 2 Quarterback Rankings

DraftKings Start of the Week:

Joe Flacco – BAL at CLE ($6,500)

$6,500 is a little steep, almost high enough to make me consider one of the top-tier QBs, but I’m fading the Browns defense until further notice. I mentioned Carson Wentz in last week’s DraftKings Clearance Rack, mostly because of the Browns D, and he didn’t disappoint. I find it hard to imagine a situation where Flacco doesn’t exceed Wentz’ production from Week 1 (278 yards 2 TDs).

Marc Trestman (Ravens Offensive Coordinator) is universally considered a passing game savant, and you can expect a big improvement from the Ravens offense in Year 2. They’ve added Mike Wallace, and have Breshard Perriman, Steve Smith, and Dennis Pitta all back from injury. Last week, Flacco was 22-33 with 258 yards and a TD against a stout (although injured) Bills defense, and you can expect the yardage totals, and TDs to increase this week. The only factor which could potentially limit Flacco’s production would be if the Ravens jump out to a big lead (kinda likely, but I’ll take my chances). Nonetheless, he should go over 300 yards, and throw multiple TDs.
