*Tier 1: $7,000+, Tier 2: $7,000-$6,000, Tier 3: Under $6,000
Tier 1: Cam Newton – CAR vs. SD ($7,200)
Listen, I don’t like Cam this week, but I like Brees, and Roethlisberger even less… And, that’s it for this tier. If you just have to spend big money at QB, go with Cam. Otherwise, save yourself a couple dollars, and scroll down the list.
Tier 2: Andrew Luck – HOU @ IND ($6,900)
You really can’t go wrong in this tier, but Luck has the best odds of finishing in Top-5. The Texans have allowed a league leading 2.7 passing TDs per game over the last 3 weeks, to go along with 243 yards, and a 69.2 completion rate… Aka they haven’t been very good. Don’t let the matchup fool you.
Tier 3: Eli Manning – NYG vs. DAL ($5,500)
I know, I know, Manning has been terrible… The Cowboys pass D hasn’t been much better. The Giants need this W, and are at home in primetime. Eli will have to carry this offense for the Giants to have a chance, and I have a sneaky suspicion that’s exactly what he does.
*Tier 1: $7,000+, Tier 2: $7,000-$5,000, Tier 3: Under $5,000
Tier 1: Melvin Gordon – SD @ CAR ($7,400)
The Panthers d has allowed an average of 134.3 rushing yards per game over the last 3 (6th worst)… They just aren’t the same without Kuechly. Gordon hasn’t gone for a hundred yards on the ground since week 9, but he also hasn’t seen less than 15 carries since Week 1, so you have to like his odds given the matchup.
Tier 2: Matt Forte – NYJ @ SF ($6,800)
With Bryce Petty starting, there’s a damn good chance Forte will see 11 man boxes all afternoon, but I don’t think it’ll matter. He should see plenty of carries to lighten the load for Petty, and will be heavily targeted in the passing game… Let’s just hope they aren’t down 24-3 at halftime.
Tier 3: Rob Kelley – WAS @ PHI ($4,200)
The Redskins will be without starting C – Spencer Long, and may also be without 2 other starters on the o-line… Not a good look for Mr. Kelley. Even so, 60 and a TD feels about right, and there isn’t much else in this tier, so I’ll take it.
*Tier 1: $7,000+, Tier: 2: $7,000-$5,000, Tier 3: Under $5,000
Tier 1: Odell Beckham Jr. – NYG vs. DAL ($8,000)
OBJ is 3rd in the league in targets, and the Cowboys don’t have anyone who can cover him. The Boys have allowed the 2nd most passing yards per game over the past 3 weeks (315.7), and 2 of those 3 games came against Flacco and Bradford. I don’t think any further explanation is needed here.
Tier 2: Tyrell Williams – SD @ CAR ($6,100)
He’s scored in 4 straight games, and the Panthers d has looked busted the past few weeks. Kuechly will be out again, so Gordon should have a big day, but there’s no reason to think they both can’t eat.
Tier 3: Taylor Gabriel – ARL @ LA ($4,300)
Julio Jones, and Mohamed Sanu are both banged up, Matt Ryan has to throw the ball to someone, and the Rams have struggled against receivers. Gabriel should have himself a game.
*Tier 1: $5,500+, Tier 2: $5,500-$3,500, Tier 3: Under $3,500
Tier 1: Tyler Eifert – CIN @ CLE ($6,000)
Eifert is Dalton’s #1 red zone target, and I don’t see the Browns keeping the Bengals out of the red zone with much success. He’s virtually a lock to score, and the Browns give up quite a few yards through the air to TEs as well.
Tier 2: C.J. Fiedorowicz – HOU @ IND ($3,900)
Who cares about Kaepernick? Let’s talk about Osweiler, and his protest against throwing the ball downfield… Fiedorowicz sees a ridiculous amount of targets, and that won’t change against the Colts – who might just be the worst team in the league against TEs, and that was with D’Qwell Jackson’s enhanced performance.
Tier 3: Vance McDonald – SF vs. NYJ ($3,000)
If you watched any of that disgrace of a “game” on Monday night, chances are you saw Dwayne Allen torching the Jets. Look for McDonald to continue the torture on Sunday afternoon. The 49ers offense has to bounce back at home, right?!
*Tier 1: $3,500+, Tier 2: $3,500-$3,000, Tier 3: Under $3,000
Tier 1: Minnesota Vikings – MIN @ JAC ($3,900)
The Jags offense stinks, and the Vikings defense is good. Bortles throws mad interceptions, and the Vikings catch quite a few. The Jags don’t score many points, and the Vikings don’t allow many.
Tier 2: Cincinnati Bengals – CIN @ CLE ($3,500)
RG3 is starting this week, and while I don’t really know what to expect, it’s hard to imagine him being Baylor/Rookie of the Year RG3… Especially against this Bengals d.
Tier 3: Seattle Seahawks – SEA @ GB ($3,000)
Yes, they’re at GB, and without Earl Thomas. However, it should be snowy again in GB, so this should be a low scoring game with a good chance for a few turnovers.
