DraftKings Starts of the Night – 11/28/16

With seven NBA games on tap tonight, there’s a lot of value out there. Here are some of my favorite plays at each position for tonight’s games…

Guard

*Tier 1: $7,000+, Tier 2: $7,000-$5,000, Tier 3: Under $5,000

Tier 1: John Wall – WAS vs. SAC ($8,700)

Wall has dropped less than 20 points in just 3 games this season, and is averaging 9 assists, to go with 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. The Kings are far from a defensive juggernaut, so I like Wall to flirt with a triple-double tonight.

Tier 2:  Mike Conley – MEM vs. CHA ($6,500)

This was a toss-up between Conley, and Avery Bradley. Both have been balling, and Bradley fills up the stat sheet on a nightly basis. But, with Parsons, Ennis, and Randolph out of the lineup for the Grizzlies, even more onus to carry the offensive load falls on Conley’s shoulders. Derrick Rose had his way with the Hornets over the weekend, I expect Conley to follow suit.

Tier 3: Sergio Rodriguez – PHI @ TOR ($3,600)

With one caveat, Jerryd Bayless has to be out (GTD). If Bayless plays, give me Josh Richardson, and Rodney McGruder over Rodriguez. Be sure to keep an eye on the starting lineups before tip.

Forward

*Tier 1: $8,000+, Tier 2: $8,000-$6,000, Tier 3: $6,000 – $4,000, Tier 4: Under $4,000

Tier 1: Kevin Durant – GS vs. ATL ($9,900)

With, or without Draymond Green, KD will fill up the stat sheet.

Tier 2: Paul Millsap – ATL @ GS (7,200)

Millsap has struggled from the field as of late, but the Warriors don’t rebound particularly well, and Draymond Green may be out of the lineup again tonight. I like Millsap to get out of his recent funk, and get back on his 18-12 type double-double level.

Tier 3: JaMychal Green – MEM vs. CHA ($5,000)

Green has scored double-digit points in 5 straight games, and his rebound totals have flourished as well (he hasn’t had less than 6 boards in a game in over 2 weeks). As I mentioned earlier, the Grizzlies are without Parsons, Ennis, and Randolph. Green has seen more minutes, and stepped up, in their absence.

Tier 4: Amir Johnson – BOS @ MIA ($3,500)

Al Horford is out tonight, so look for Johnson to be back in 25-30 minute range.

Center

*Tier 1: $8,000+, Tier 2: $8,000 – $6,000, Tier 3: Under $6,000

Tier 1: DeMarcus Cousins – SAC @ WAS ($10,100)

He’s a problem.

Tier 2: Marcin Gortat – WAS vs. SAC ($6,000)

Don’t sleep on Gortat! He now has 3 double-doubles over his last 4 games, and he missed the 4th by 1 rebound. The Kings aren’t the greatest on the defensive end, or on the glass for that matter, so look for Gortat to make it his 4th double-double in his last 5 tonight.

Tier 3: Jonas Valanciunas – TOR vs. PHI ($5,700)

He’s starting to get his legs back, and Dwane Casey has been increasing his minutes (he’s been back over 30 for the past week). It’s only a matter of time before his salary jumps back up, enjoy it while it lasts.
